Approximately ¾ - 1 inch purchase size.

The Salt and Pepper Cory (Corydoras habrosus) are considered pygmy corydoras that reach a maximum size of 1¼ inches. They are native to the upper Rio Orinoco basin in Columbia and Venezuela. Their natural habitat consist of flooded grassland plains. Therefore a heavily planted aquarium would be ideal in making this species feel safe. Being a smaller species, it's important to pick tank mates wisely. Smaller tetras, rasboras, pencil fish all would be great additions. Sandy substrate is highly recommended for corydoras, but rounded gravel can be used as an alternative.
