Approximately ½ inch purchase size.
Also known as the Indian Dwarf Puffer, the Pea Puffer will reach a maximum length of 1 inch. However, don't let their small size fool you, males can be very aggressive towards each other as they mature. If keeping them in groups, a heavily planted tank with lots of hiding areas will be needed. One advantage of pea puffers, they do not need snails to keep their teeth trimmed. Frozen bloodworms and live blackworms can be a staple to their diet. They will also go after invertebrates, so do not keep them with shrimp or snails.
