Approximately 1 inche in purchase size, mixed males and females.

Lamprologus brevis Sunspot are a relatively easy to spawn shell brooder from Lake Tanganyika. They like large open areas with a sandy substrate and lots of empty shells. We recommend 2-3 shells per fish so they can pick the perfect shell. Once they find the shell they want, they will carry the shells to the desired location of the aquarium. Females will often times try to bury the shells of other females. This usually results in a pile of sand between two females as they constantly try to bury the others shell. Females will flash at males and try to attract them into their shells to spawn. A very fascinating fish with a boisterous personality.

Care Level: Easy - But specific to Lake Tanganyika water parameters.

Diet: Primarily Live or Frozen food, but will accept dry food, but not as a staple.

Temp: 73 - 80°
