Yellow Shrimp (Neocaridina) are some of the easiest shrimp to keep and breed in the hobby. They are very adaptive and thrive in a wide range of water parameters. Shrimp do get preyed on by fish large enough to fit in their mouth. Therefore, its important to have lots of hiding places or heavily planted aquariums. They will feed on algae; however, you should still feed high quality shrimp pellets for a varied diet.
